Coronavirus Statement

Dear Gulfhaven family,

Notice: Please be advised. We have opted to cancel our upcoming public gatherings due to the Coronavirus situation.

Reason: As of a few hours ago (Monday afternoon, 3/16/20), and in an attempt to slow the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, President Trump has released new guidelines for gathering around the country. The new guidelines are asking for groups 10 or more to avoid gathering. While these guidelines are not mandatory, the leadership of Gulfhaven are not medically trained. So, for the time being, we feel that it’s wise to submit to the recommendations coming down from the CDC, World Health Organization, and the MS state government.

That being said, our decision comes from a heart of caution and not fear. We are in no better hands than God himself. We are at peace, praying God’s will over this situation.

We will be monitoring the situation daily and making upcoming decision through prayer and wise council. Be encouraged. Updates will be on our website.

Needs: We know that this situation will be difficult for some of our members, especially those most vulnerable to the negative effects of this virus. Please reach out to Pastor Chris or one of the elders if you need any errands run (like groceries) to help avoid the public. We will make sure everyone is taken care of. We also know that times of uncertainty can cause fear, panic, and anxiety. If anyone is experiencing any of these, please do not hesitate to give one of us a call.

Worship: In lieu of public worship gatherings, Pastor Chris will be uploading some teachings via YouTube. Information about the teachings will be on the website in the days to come. Please visit for information.
